Custom Multi-Wavelength LED Light Source

The 7+1 custom multi-wavelength fiber coupled LED light source was developed for Biophotonics lab at Advanced Technologies Center (ATC) at Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer Israel. This system is a custom version of Prizmatix FC5-LED multi-wavelength system. The FC2-3-5 fiber optic coupled LED system comprises UV, Violet, Blue, Green and RED LED at wavelengths chosen by the customer.
The specific system built for ATC comprises 7 fiber coupled LED sources at predefined wavelengths, each with separate driver LED driver and separate control. The control options allow manual power adjustment using a 10 turns potentiometer on the front panel, ON/OFF switch of each channels, TTL input for chopped operation or for computer control through A/D D/A card with digital outputs (DIO). On the picture one can see the first channel (from left) is connected to a fiber patch cord. The last channel (at right) is an electrical connector instead of optical connector. This additional channel provides driver and control with a connector for future optional system expansion by connection of Black-LED head - a fiber coupled LED light source at different wavelength.
