Fiber Coupled Ultra High Power LED Light Source

The Fiber Coupled Ultra High Power LED 520nm provides almost x10 increase of power in comparison with similar high power LED devices. The Prizmatix Ultra High Power LED is an effective replacement of lasers and lamps in many power demanding applications, such as fluorescence imaging, machine vision, chemical reaction activation (photo activation) and numerous others. The light source provides more than 100 mW of Green 520nm CW power at 1500um POF fiber output. The LED driver supports CW or pulsed operation.

Key Features

  • Speckle free
  • TTL external modulation
  • Excellent for fluorescence excitation
  • LED spectrum can be narrowed by optional band pass filter installed inside the LED head
  • Reciprocal SMA, FC or ST fiber connection
  • Precise adjustable power
  • Long life (no lamp or laser tube replacement required)
  • Rapid warm up time

Custom Cuvette Fluorometer

This custom cuvette fluorometer is based on Prizmatix's OptiBlock modules. The base module is a Cuvette OptiBlock, which accepts standard 1 x 1cm cuvettes. To the Cuvette OptiBlock we connected a LED-OptiBlock that serves as excitation light source, connected by a PMT or Silicone PMT photosensor module. The LED-OptiBlock utilizes a filtered high power LED which is connected to a driver board. The whole system is assembled on a laser drilled metal breadboard installed in an enclosure box.

Fiber Coupled Dual-LED

This Fiber Coupled Dual-LED was asse
mbled from 2 units of Microscope-LEDs connected to a Beam Combiner OptiBlock. Each Mic-LED provides a collimated beam of different wavelengths, combined into a single collinear beam by the beam combiner OptiBlock. On the exit port of the Beam Combiner OptiBlock we assembled a barrel and installed a focusing aspheric condenser lens and an optical SMA female connector. The result was a very effective coupling to both wavelengths into a single fiber. The output power of 385nm and 480nm combination was >70mW and >22mW respectively from a 1500um core Polymer Optical Fiber (POF).
